Director of Recruitment and Admissions
Applications are being accepted for the position of Director of Recruitment and Admissions at Christian Theological Seminary, a position that will become available on July 2, 2012. Duties include the responsibility for recruitment and admissions for the degree programs of the Seminary. The director will coordinate recruitment services to prospective student constituents of the school through supervision of staff in the Office of Recruitment and Admissions. The incumbent will serve on the admissions and student life committees and will represent the seminary in various functions both within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and other judicatories and organizations.
The successful candidate will be required to hold an advanced degree and have 2-4 years’ experience in related work with professional and current knowledge in the areas of recruiting, admissions, and financial aid. The ability to take initiative, multi-task, and provide leadership is essential for this position, as are strong interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must have skills in analyzing the gifts and graces of candidates for ministry, as well as the ability to gain and deploy knowledge of judicatory requirements for ordination, accreditation requirements, Microsoft Office and higher education database software. The position requires significant overnight travel that includes driving and flights to various cities where the Seminary recruits.
